Gratitude

Privacy Policy

Brutechild, LLC · Effective Date: March 2, 2026

Overview

Gratitude is a daily journaling app for reflecting on what you’re thankful for. That’s something very special you’re letting us be a part of. To thank you we do not collect, track, or share your personal data (we can’t even see what you put in the app).

Data You Create

When you use Gratitude, you create journal entries that may include text and photos. The data is stored in your private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit service and cached locally on your device for offline access. Only you can reach this data, through your iCloud account.

We never have access to your journal entries, photos, or anything you write.

HealthKit

With your permission, Gratitude logs a mindful session to Apple Health each time you complete the daily practice. The app only writes this data; it does not read any of your health information. You can decline this permission during setup and the app will work normally without it.

In-App Purchases

Gratitude offers an optional purchase to customize the breathing exercise. Transactions are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store any payment information.

Crash Reporting

Gratitude uses Firebase Crashlytics by Google to collect crash reports and non-fatal error logs. This helps us find and fix stability problems. Crashlytics collects:

The data is sent to Google's servers and retained for ninety days. Crashlytics does not collect your journal entries, photos, or any personal content. No advertising identifiers or tracking data is collected. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Analytics

Gratitude uses Firebase Analytics by Google to collect anonymous usage data, such as when you complete an entry or reach a streak milestone. This helps us understand how the app is used and where to focus improvements. Analytics collects:

No journal text, no photo content, no personal information, and no advertising identifiers are ever included in analytics data. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Other Network Communication

The only other network communication is with Apple's CloudKit service to sync your journal between your devices.

Data Stored on Your Device

All local data is removed when you use the "Delete All Gratitudes" option in Settings.
